MARK Wright drove 30 hours to Mallorca to fix up his “nightmare” holiday home after builders did a bodge job.
The presenter and a team of builders made the journey after discovering that his hired workers had “created problems”.
Mark, who is no stranger to home renovation after he and his wife Michelle Keegan transformed a mock Tudor house into a stunning mansion in Essex.
After arriving at the apartment in sunny Spain, Mark very quickly realised that he had a six week job on his hands, but just two and a half weeks to complete it.
He explained how he bought the flat a year ago before he enlisted some builders on the job to spruce the place up.
But the former TOWIE star said that he wasn’t happy with their work and decided to head over and sort the job out himself.

“I bought an apartment just over a year ago, and left it in the hands of some builders that I didn’t know, it wasn’t that I wasn’t happy with the look,” he told Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.
“There was just lots of problems that were created, they tried to cut corners. So then I spoke to another company and the price wasn’t matching up with what I had in mind, and I just thought, DIY, got to sort it myself.”
Speaking on Heart Breakfast over the phone, he said: “I left two days ago. It’s a long old drive. What makes it longer is the fact that it’s an island.
He has been keeping fans entertained by winding up his mate John on the drive, by quizzing him with riddles.
Mark documented their entire journey, including a sleepless night on the ferry.
Mark, 36, said that it wasn’t a case of finishing the job, or making last minute touches – it was a full do-over.
Explaining his plan, he said: “Not even finish it off, strip what they’ve done, because it’s like just bad, and do it myself.
“At the moment it’s me Jonny Boy and some of his men, and they have to fly out one or two of his men in the week.”
“Literally just over two and a half weeks and it’s probably, this is not an exaggeration, it’s probably in realistic terms, if you have full hands on deck, a six week job,” he added.
On his stories, he introduced his building team and showed the amount of work that still needed doing.
He showed off the breathtaking views of the ocean from his balcony window.
On Heart Radio, when asked if Michelle was helping the situation, Mark joked that she kept sending messages asking if they’d arrived at the villa yet.

Amanda, who recently worked on a Sicillian villa with Alan Carr for TV show Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job, asked Mark if he needed a hand.
“Do you know what Amanda, I’ve been documenting it on Instagram and nearly every one of my inbox messages is someone saying you should speak to Alan Carr and Amanda Holden! They know what to do,” Mark replied.
