ITV confirm Love Island USA heading to UK – and we don’t have long to wait

The UK edition has closed its doors for another year, but fear not as Love Island USA will be heading to our screens.

The nation watched as Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned the winners of the 2022 series, winning by a huge landslide by receiving almost 64% of the public vote.

Knowing full well that we’ll be missing our daily fix of singletons cracking on, ITV have announced that the American version of the annual show will be streaming from next Monday.

The first episode of season four will air on August 8, with the post reading: ‘We would never leave you waiting too long! Meet your American Islanders who will be cracking on this Monday.’

The spin-off of the UK series began back in 2019, and Zac Mirabelli and Elizabeth Weber won the first season.

They secured the cash prize of $100,000 (£71,000) with Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew winning the second.

Last year’s season three was won by Korey Gander and Olivia Kaiser, but the pair split up after three months of dating.

This year’s season is hosted by Sarah Hyland, who was announced for the programme earlier this month

The Modern Family actress has replaced Arielle Vandenberg for the upcoming season, after the show made the move from CBS to Peacock.

And UK fans will be delighted to hear a familiar voice as Iain Stirling provides his signature Scottish wit for the series across the pond.

Jenny Groom, EVP of Entertainment Unscripted Content at NBCUniversal, confirmed that they had snapped the comedian up earlier this year.

‘The moment the decision was made to bring an all-new version of Love Island to Peacock, we knew we had to get Iain on board,’ she said.

‘Iain embodies everything fans love about the show — humor, irreverence and cheeky fun. Love Island would not be the same without him.’

The first episode of Love Island USA airs on ITVBe on Monday August 8 at 10pm.
