Drivers are being told to expect delays on Auckland’s southern motorway after a rush-hour crash on Thursday morning.

The crash happened just after 8am and blocked the right northbound lane just after Takanini, according to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

While Waka Kotahi said the crash has since been cleared, as of 9.30am it advised drivers south of Takanini to allow for extra time on their journey.

Further north, a truck breakdown has blocking the northbound left lane between Greenlane and Market Rd has been cleared, Waka Kotahi added.
