Flights have been cancelled and there are delays on the Southern Motorway as fog causes problems for Auckland commuters.
As of Friday morning, 23 domestic regional flights had been cancelled and nine had been delayed, according to Air New Zealand.
No international flights had been impacted by the fog.
Travellers were advised to regularly check the Auckland Airport website for flight updates.

Auckland Airport said restrictions were put in place at 4.43am.
MetService said low cloud and fog would dissipate heading into the late morning and the day would continue with fine conditions.
Air New Zealand said its team was working to move travellers onto alternate flights throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Auckland Transport said the 9:15am Auckland to Half Moon Bay service wouuld be delayed by 30 minutes.
The 9:25am Auckland to Bayswater and 9:40am Bayswater to Auckland ferry services would be replaced with road travel.
This comes after a total of 34 Air New Zealand flights to and from Auckland had been cancelled on Thursday, following foggy conditions.
Meanwhile, Waka Kotahi said a crash on the Southern Motorway has cleared, and all lanes are now open again.
