NBA-News Kirk Hinrich Traded To The Atlanta Hawks For A 2nd Round Draft Pick

The deadline of 2 PM came and went in the Chicago area and the Bulls team you saw on the floor last night is basically the same as the one before the All-Star Break.

But there was a minor change that came on Thursday afternoon.

According to a report by ESPN, guard Kirk Hinrich was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for a second round pick. The report came from Brian Windhorst of ESPN just after the deadline.

Former Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich.

The twelve year veteran, who was drafted by the Bulls with the seventh-overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, has spent all but two of his seasons in Chicago. For his career Hinrich is averaging 11 points and 4.9 assists per game.

But this year Hinrich has been in a reduced role for the Bulls, averaging just 15.9 minutes a game. In that time he’s getting an average of 3.8 points and 1.7 assists per game.
